Connect ChatGPT, Claude, or an agent

Connect FreeAML in ChatGPT or Claude, then send a verification from chat. Your client still pays and verifies on FreeAML.

Updated 7 October 2026

You connect FreeAML to a chat app with one address: https://mcp.freeaml.com.au. The connection belongs to one workspace. It uses the same email code as sign-in. FreeAML emails that code.

Your client still pays and completes the check on FreeAML. The chat does not take payment and it does not collect identity documents.

Connect in ChatGPT

  1. 1

In ChatGPT, search for FreeAML or add a custom app with the address above.

  2. 2

Sign in with your FreeAML email. Enter the code we email you.

  3. 3

Choose the workspace. If you only have your own workspace, choose that one.

  4. 4

Ask ChatGPT to send a verification. It shows a card first. Nothing is emailed until you confirm.

Connect in Claude

  1. 1

Open Claude settings, then Connectors, then add a custom connector.

  2. 2

Name it FreeAML. Set the remote MCP address to https://mcp.freeaml.com.au.

  3. 3

Sign in with your FreeAML email and choose one workspace.

The same address works in Microsoft Copilot Studio (add an MCP tool, then OAuth) and in Cursor. In Cursor, add an MCP server named freeaml whose URL is https://mcp.freeaml.com.au.

What you can do

  • See the connected workspace and its credit balance. Credits belong to the workspace. To buy credits, open Credits.
  • List recent verifications and open one by its id. You see a status, whether it is paid, a masked client label, and a report link when the report is ready.
  • Prepare a new verification, then confirm it. Your client’s email is required. A reference and a role are optional.
  • Resend the invite email for a check that already has an email. That does not start a new paid check.

Who pays, and the service charge

When your client pays, they choose a person ($20) or an entity ($40) on the FreeAML link. The confirmation card opens at a $0 service charge. You can choose $25, $50, or $100 for that verification only. There is no saved default. Check your state’s rules before you add a service charge.

When your workspace pays, you choose person ($20) or entity ($40) before you confirm. Your client is emailed after you pay on FreeAML. The result includes a pay link. There is no service charge on a workspace-pays check.

What this connection does not do

  • It does not lodge an SMR, TTR, or IFTI for you. Those reports stay with your firm.
  • It does not send a code by anything other than email.
  • It does not show identity document images.
  • It does not delete a verification, change your team, or buy credits.
  • It does not connect a second workspace. Disconnect and connect again to switch.

Which workspace can the chat see?

Only the one you chose when you connected. Create a Zapier key as well if you want automation on another workspace.

Where does my client finish the check?

On FreeAML. The chat sends the invite. Payment and identity capture stay on our pages.

What if the connection does not answer?

It is switched on for the site with an environment flag. If it is off, use FreeAML in the browser or Zapier.
