APLYiD and property IDV: where VOI vendors stop

APLYiD is an identity-verification vendor that property firms meet on a file. A result can be evidence the program accepts for part of initial customer due diligence; it stops before the program, the risk rating, and any report.

Quick answer

Keep the result if your program says that kind of evidence counts. Do not treat a pass as enrolment, as the approved program, or as a PEP decision. A company or a trust is still a KYB check, not a person’s identity result reused. This page does not quote APLYiD’s price and does not rank it; the firm suite is A$0; the client pays the check your program requires.

People search “APLYiD AML” when an agency has an APLYiD pass on a buyer and is about to file it as the whole AML program. Checked against AUSTRAC’s overview of initial customer due diligence on 4 October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. This page does not reproduce that guidance. The general line is VOI versus CDD. What one check covers is what an AML check covers. The sector map is /tranche-2.

The pass is a record. The program is the permission.

Property files have used identity vendors for years under verification-of-identity habits. APLYiD sits in that set. The habit is useful and narrow. Someone looked at a person and returned a result.

The AML/CTF program is the firm’s rules for whether that result is enough, what the risk rating is, who approved it, and what happens if the customer is a company. A pass stored on the matter does not do those later steps. This page will not pretend to know APLYiD’s current price.

  • Keep the result. If the program accepts that evidence, file it against the matter with the date.
  • Stop at identity. The result does not enrol the agency and does not approve the program.
  • Do not reuse it for a company. A person’s pass is not KYB on a company or a trust.
  • Leave reports alone. An identity vendor does not lodge a suspicious matter report for you.

Where the APLYiD page stops

This page is where a property identity vendor stops. It is not the general VOI-versus-CDD article, and it is not a description of every field in one check. Those are VOI versus CDD and what an AML check covers.

What the client pays

On FreeAML the firm suite is A$0. The firm emails the client a link. Verification is client-pays. On the public list a personal KYC check is A$20 and a company or trust KYB check is A$40. Use KYB when the customer is a company or a trust. An identity-vendor pass is not included in the firm suite, and it is not a KYB check on a company or trust. Confirm the live amounts on FreeAML pricing. FreeAML does not treat an APLYiD result as a full AML program or quote that vendor’s price.
