Which AML software Australia: a shortlist method
A shortlist method starts with the designated services you provide and the records the program says you must keep. Vendor names come after that list, or the logos do the choosing.
Quick answer
Write three lines before you open a comparison site. Which services are designated, which records you must show later, and who pays the check. Then read vendors against those lines. easyAML, ClearAML, First AML, InfoTrack, and AML Guard are names firms bring to that exercise; this page does not rank them and does not quote their prices; the firm suite is A$0; the client pays.
People search “which AML software Australia” when a principal has five browser tabs of AML software and no list of what the firm actually needs to store. Checked against AUSTRAC’s AML/CTF program overview on 4 October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. This page does not reproduce that guidance. A ranking article is a different page, AML software in Australia. One named comparison is an easyAML alternative. The sector map is /tranche-2.
The list comes before the logos
Software pages are written to be chosen. A two-partner firm that starts there will collect features it cannot tie to a designated service. Start from the program you are allowed to approve: the services, the customer types, and the record of the risk rating. A tool that cannot tell a person from a company will fail the list even if the demo looked calm.
- Services first. If you do not provide it, you do not need a module for it.
- Records second. Rating, approver, date, and the check result have to live somewhere you can find.
- Payer third. Ask whether the firm buys a seat or the client pays the check. On FreeAML the suite is A$0 and the client pays.
- Names last. Bring easyAML, ClearAML, First AML, InfoTrack, or AML Guard to the list. Do not start from their homepages.
How a row on the shortlist should look
A method for an Australian shortlist. This table does not reproduce any vendor’s feature page.
| Line you wrote first | Pass | Fail |
|---|---|---|
| We need company and trust checks | KYB is a separate check from personal KYC | A director’s passport stands in for the company |
| We must show who approved the rating | A name and a date are stored | The result is only pass or fail |
| The client pays the check | The firm is not sold a seat for the suite | A monthly bundle you cannot explain to a client |
| We enrol ourselves | The tool does not pretend to lodge enrolment | A login described as being enrolled |
Where the shortlist method stops
This page is the order of the shortlist. It is not a ranking, and it is not a single-vendor comparison. Those are AML software in Australia and an easyAML alternative.
What the client pays
On FreeAML the firm suite is A$0. The firm emails the client a link. Verification is client-pays. On the public list a personal KYC check is A$20 and a company or trust KYB check is A$40. Use KYB when the customer is a company or a trust. Being on a shortlist is not included in the firm suite, and a logo does not bundle unlimited checks. Confirm the live amounts on FreeAML pricing. FreeAML does not pick your software, rank vendors, or quote another firm’s price.
