Examples of dealing with customers in the real estate starter kit

Examples of dealing with customers in the real estate starter kit are prompts. An agency rewrites the ones that match its work and cuts the ones that describe a business it does not run.

Quick answer

A sales agency and a property-management agency do not share one untouched example set. If you do not lease, delete the leasing path, and if a buyer is not your customer, do not open a file because an example mentioned one. The firm approves the edited kit. The client pays a check only when that program requires one.

People search β€œreal estate starter kit customer examples” when a suburban agency is reading the real estate starter kit examples and is about to apply every customer type to every appraisal. Checked against AUSTRAC's real estate examples of dealing with customers on 4 October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. This page does not reproduce that guidance. Who the customer is on an agency file is who is the customer in real estate. The sector map is /tranche-2.

An example is not a listing

Real estate starter kit customer examples show the shape of a customer conversation, and they are not your listings. A sale, a company buyer, a landlord, and a tenant can all appear as samples. Your agency might do one of those and never the others. Leaving every sample in teaches staff to open files you do not need, and to skip files you do.

This page does not copy the examples out. Read them on AUSTRAC's page, then edit. The who-is-the-customer question for your agency is a separate article. Do not answer it by pointing at a sample name.

  • Rewrite a sale you actually take. The example should match how your agency takes a listing and an offer, in your words.
  • Cut leasing if you only sell. A landlord-and-tenant path in a sales-only program will be followed by mistake.
  • Do not invent a buyer file. If the program says that buyer is not your customer, the example does not overrule it.
  • Rewrite the company buyer. A short sample that treats a company like a person is the example to fix, not the one to copy.

Where the real-estate-examples page stops

This page is how an agency sorts the examples. It is not the general customise note. That sits on customising the AUSTRAC starter kit. This page does not reproduce the examples and it does not decide your customer.

What the client pays

On FreeAML the firm suite is A$0. The firm emails the client a link. Verification is client-pays. On the public list a personal KYC check is A$20 and a company or trust KYB check is A$40. Use KYB when the customer is a company or a trust. The starter kit's customer examples are not included in the firm suite as your agency's procedures. Confirm the live amounts on FreeAML pricing. FreeAML does not customise the real estate examples for your agency or decide who your customer is.
