Australian Institute of Conveyancers and AML partners

A partner notice from the Australian Institute of Conveyancers is a commercial arrangement. It is not the firm's AML/CTF program and it does not enrol the practice with AUSTRAC.

Quick answer

Read a partner badge as a supplier arrangement, then open the conveyancer starter kit and customise it for the transfers you actually do. Membership does not decide which files are designated services. The firm still enrols. The firm suite is A$0, and the client pays any check the program requires.

People search “AIC AML conveyancers” when a two-partner conveyancing practice treats an institute partner list as if it were already enrolled. Checked against the conveyancer starter kit getting started page on 4 October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. This page does not reproduce that guidance. The transfer question itself is AML for conveyancers assisting a transfer. The sector map is /tranche-2.

A badge is not enrolment

AIC AML conveyancers is a search from practices that have seen a partner named beside an AML product. The institute can tell members about a supplier. It cannot customise your program, and it cannot lodge your enrolment. Those stay with the practice.

A product mentioned in that arrangement, including easyAML or anyone else, is still a product. You read what it does on a file. You do not treat the mention as AUSTRAC's choice.

  • Open the conveyancer kit. AUSTRAC published a starter kit for this sector. A partner email is not a substitute for it.
  • Edit the services. Delete transfers you do not do. Keep the ones you do. An untouched kit describes a generic practice.
  • Enrol as the firm. Membership of an institute is not enrolment. The business enrols.
  • Then send the check. When the program requires verification, the firm emails the client a link. The client pays.

Four papers a conveyancing practice can confuse. This table does not reproduce the conveyancer starter kit.

Where the institute page stops

This page is the partner-notice question. It is not a product review of a conveyancer free tier. That comparison sits on the simpleAML conveyancer note. This page does not say any institute has endorsed a vendor.

What the client pays

On FreeAML the firm suite is A$0. The firm emails the client a link. Verification is client-pays. On the public list a personal KYC check is A$20 and a company or trust KYB check is A$40. Use KYB when the customer is a company or a trust. An institute partner badge is not included in the firm suite, and neither is membership. Confirm the live amounts on FreeAML pricing. FreeAML does not join an institute for you or treat a partner notice as your program.
