Why FreeAML exists
FreeAML was founded in 2026 by a team from real estate and proptech. They built it because paying a monthly subscription for occasional compliance checks felt like a ripoff. You pay per check. There is no subscription.
You might verify a handful of clients in a quiet month, or you might run steady volume. A platform fee does not match that work. FreeAML is pay-per-check only, for Australian firms of every size.
What you get
You get a full AML/CTF compliance suite: an AML/CTF program, a risk assessment, training, and customer due diligence checks. The tools sit on the same platform whether you are a sole practitioner or a larger firm.
An individual check (KYC) is $20. An entity check (KYB), including a company, trust, or SMSF, is $40. Each beneficial owner is a separate individual check at $20. You can pass that cost to your client and add an optional service charge that you set.
FreeAML is software that helps you run customer due diligence. Enrolment and reporting obligations stay with you. You receive a CDD report for your firm's file.
Who it is for
FreeAML is for Australian firms that provide designated services, including real estate, accounting, law, conveyancing, jewellery, and trust and company service providers. Tranche 2 obligations commenced on 1 July 2026.
