Annual compliance report calendar after a July 2026 start

The first compliance report for a Tranche 2 firm is lodged in the window AUSTRAC sets. A July 2026 start does not, by itself, make the report due in July 2027.

Quick answer

Do not print a due date from this page. The first compliance report under Tranche 2 follows AUSTRAC's reporting window for a reporting entity, which you confirm on AUSTRAC's own material. What you can diarise now is enrolment status, the date the program was approved, training sign-offs, and a reminder to check that window. FreeAML does not lodge the report, and customer checks stay client-pays.

People search β€œfirst compliance report Tranche 2” when a firm that started in July 2026 wants a calendar date for its first compliance report and is about to invent one. Checked against AUSTRAC's reporting entity glossary entry on 4 October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. This page does not reproduce that guidance. What the months after commencement actually involve is Tranche 2 after it started. Enrolment, which is not the report, is the AUSTRAC enrolment guide. The sector map is /tranche-2.

No homemade anniversary

The first compliance report Tranche 2 firms ask about is a date. This page will not give you one. A reporting entity lodges compliance reports on the schedule AUSTRAC sets. A firm that began providing designated services around July 2026 does not get to pick 29 July 2027 because that is a tidy year later, and tidy is how diaries drift away from the real window.

What you can put in the diary today is internal. Record when you enrolled, when a senior manager approved the program, and when staff signed training. Add a reminder to read AUSTRAC's current instructions for the report. That reminder is not the lodgement.

  • Do not invent the due day. If it is not on AUSTRAC's current page, it is not a date you should circulate.
  • Enrolment is not the report. Being on AUSTRAC's system does not file the annual report.
  • The program date is yours. Record when you approved it. That is an internal milestone, not a statutory due date.
  • One person watches the window. Name who checks AUSTRAC's instructions, so the reminder is not everyone's job and therefore no one's.

A calendar that does not pretend

A principal can still run the year. The trick is to label each date as internal or external. External dates are copied from AUSTRAC, with the date you copied them. Internal dates are your own governance, and mixing the labels is how a staff meeting treats a blog as a deadline.

Where the calendar page stops

This page refuses to print the due date. It is not the story of operating after commencement. That story is Tranche 2 after it started.

Whether you are a reporting entity at all is what a reporting entity is. FreeAML does not lodge compliance reports.

What the client pays

On FreeAML the firm suite is A$0. The firm emails the client a link. Verification is client-pays. On the public list a personal KYC check is A$20 and a company or trust KYB check is A$40. Use KYB when the customer is a company or a trust. Lodging a compliance report is not a KYC or KYB fee, and it is not included in the firm suite. Confirm the live amounts on FreeAML pricing. FreeAML does not lodge your compliance report or nominate the due date.
