ClearAML pricing and fit for a small firm

ClearAML is one of the few Australian AML products with both a monthly plan and a public per-check meter. A small firm should add those two bills before deciding the product fits.

Quick answer

ClearAML publishes monthly plans plus a per-check meter. On 2 October 2026 the page listed Solo at $49 a month +GST, Starter at $149 a month +GST, and Professional at $299 a month +GST, with a $15 signup credit into the wallet. Enterprise is described as a white-label offer without a public monthly dollar. KYC is listed at $8.00 a check. Confirm every column on the live page before you model a year.

ClearAML here is the product at clearaml.com.au. This is anti-money laundering pricing for a small firm, not a medical topic.

Monthly plans

From ClearAML pricing as read on 2 October 2026. The hero says there are no hidden fees and no setup costs, and that a new account receives a $15 signup credit. These are ClearAML’s figures.

ClearAML plan prices and the user counts listed in that order on the public page, 2 October 2026. Enterprise has no public monthly dollar on the page we read.

Solo is described for sole practitioners and micro-firms. Starter is described for small businesses. Professional is described for most small and medium firms. Enterprise is the white-label line for a larger team. The supported-user row on the page reads 2, 10, 25, then unlimited in that plan order. Client risk assessments are marked unlimited on each.

Per-check rates

The verification section is denser than the plan cards. Only the lines that are unambiguous are repeated here.

  • KYC (ID plus screening): $8.00 per check. The Solo feature list uses that label, and an $8.00 rate is repeated in the verification grid.
  • KYB (entity): the Solo list shows $5 plus a variable component. Do not assume the variable piece is zero, and confirm whether the same meter is on Starter and Professional.
  • ASIC company extract: $25.00 per extract on the published columns, with Enterprise marked custom volume.
  • Related-party screening: $1.00 per party, Enterprise custom volume.
  • Standalone screening: $5.00 per check, Enterprise custom volume.
  • AI map extraction: 5 a month then $3 each on the first allowance, 15 a month then $3, and 50 a month then $3, with Enterprise custom. Match those allowances to the plan columns on the live page rather than guessing.
  • Monthly credits: the Solo list shows $0. The $15 signup credit is a starting wallet credit, not a monthly allowance.

A small firm’s year is the monthly plan, plus $8 KYC checks, plus entity work at $5 plus whatever the variable line becomes, plus $25 if you pull an ASIC extract, plus $1 for each related party you screen. The $15 signup credit covers a thin slice of the first wallet top-up. It is not a free year.

Fit for a small firm

Solo at $49 +GST a month with two users is the public small-firm entry. You still pay the meter. A practice that verifies a few people a month should add those $8 checks, and any entity or extract fees, to $49 before comparing vendors. A practice that wants twenty-five users is on the Professional card at $299 +GST, still plus checks.

ClearAML also publishes a page for lawyers and conveyancers. Read that for workflow claims. Read the pricing page for the dollars. Training modules and a personnel-due-diligence sign-off appear on the Solo feature list, and Xero Practice Manager is named there. Those are product facts, not a reason to skip the meter.

FreeAML for the same firm

FreeAML’s firm suite is A$0. There is no Solo-style monthly plan. Verification is client-pays: the customer is invited by email and pays for their own check. If the customer pays, the firm does not fund the $8-style meter or a monthly seat. Current FreeAML prices are on FreeAML pricing. The legal obligation does not move. Tranche 2 still sits with the firm, including the program, training, and the decision to verify.

Shape of the bill for a small firm. ClearAML dollars are theirs, as published on 2 October 2026.

Choose ClearAML if you want that platform’s risk assessments, training sign-off, and wallet meter inside their subscription. Choose a client-pays check if the firm should not carry a monthly AML seat for a variable matter load. Neither choice is legal advice about whether a particular client needs CDD.

Before you rely on the table

The public pricing layout repeats some rates and marks Enterprise as custom. If a column and a feature bullet disagree, the live page wins. This article does not fill gaps with estimated Enterprise fees. Law firms comparing matter workflow should also read AML checks for lawyers.
