AML Guard pricing and the customer-pays credit
AML Guard’s public price is not only a check fee. It is a subscription, a customer-paid check, and a credit that stops when the seat is covered.
Quick answer
AML Guard publishes a seat fee and a customer-pays check, then credits the check back against that seat. On 2 October 2026 the homepage listed $75 per user per month plus GST ($82.50), a three-user bundle of $170 per month plus GST ($187), and checks at $45, $60, and from $90 plus GST. Credit is 100% of a customer-paid check, capped at the licence fee, and applied to the GST-exclusive subscription. Confirm the live pages before you budget.
AML Guard in this article is the Australian product at amlguard.com.au. AML here means anti-money laundering for a firm, not a medical topic.
The published card
Two public pages were read on 2 October 2026: the AML Guard homepage and AML Guard pricing. The homepage is the one that spells out GST. The pricing page shows the same ex-GST amounts. These are AML Guard’s prices.
AML Guard public prices, 2 October 2026. GST-inclusive totals are from the homepage. Confirm both pages.
| Item | Ex GST | Including GST |
|---|---|---|
| Platform, per user per month | $75 | $82.50 |
| Three-user bundle per month | $170 | $187.00 |
| Standard individual check | $45 | $49.50 |
| Higher-risk individual check | $60 | $66.00 |
| Company check | from $90 | from $99.00 |
The homepage says each check includes identity verification, sanctions and PEP screening, adverse media, a deceased check, and a risk assessment, and that the GST-inclusive total is what a buyer or seller pays on the secure link. A company example elsewhere on the same page is labelled “Company check, $90 plus GST”. Treat “from $90” as a starting point, not a ceiling.
How the customer-pays credit works
Buyers and sellers pay on a secure link. AML Guard says every customer-paid check earns 100% credit against the subscription, capped at the licence fee. Credit is applied to the GST-exclusive subscription amount. It is not a cash refund, and it cannot take the licence below zero.
Their own illustration: a three-user agency needs four customer-paid verifications in a month to offset the subscription. Four standard individual checks at $45 is $180. That is above the $170 GST-exclusive bundle, so the credit can wipe the seat fee. The extra $10 does not come back as cash, because the credit stops at the licence fee. A higher-risk check at $60, or a company check from $90, reaches the cap in fewer transactions. A month with no paid checks leaves the full seat owing.
- The credit only exists because there is a subscription to apply it to.
- Quiet months still carry $75 per user, or $170 for the bundle, plus GST.
- A fifth check in a busy month does not pay the firm. The cap has already been hit.
- Ask whether rescreening, monitoring, or personnel checks earn the same credit. The pricing pages describe customer-paid CDD checks.
What the seat is buying
The homepage describes more than an identity check: beneficial-ownership tracing, a program-document wizard, a reliance register, training records, suspicious-matter and threshold-report workflows, and an audit trail they advertise as eight years. REX status sync is listed. None of that removes the firm as the reporting entity. AML Guard says so on the same site: outsourcing does not move the liability.
FreeAML is a different bill
FreeAML does not sell a seat to credit a check against. The firm suite is A$0. Verification is client-pays: FreeAML emails the customer a link, and the customer pays for that check. When the customer pays, the firm’s cash cost of the verification is A$0, including in a month with no matters. Current prices are on FreeAML pricing. There is no licence cap and no rollover credit, because there is no monthly AML fee to offset.
Shape of the bill. AML Guard dollars are theirs, as published on 2 October 2026.
| FreeAML | AML Guard | |
|---|---|---|
| Firm platform fee | A$0 | $75 per user per month plus GST, or $170 for three users |
| Who pays the check | Client-pays, by email | Customer on a secure link, or the firm |
| What happens to that payment | It pays for the check | 100% credit against the seat, capped at the licence fee |
| Quiet month | No seat to pay | The subscription is still there |
| Public check price | On /pricing | $45, $60, or from $90, plus GST |
Use AML Guard if you want that credit mechanic and the program tools inside their subscription. Use a client-pays check if the firm should not carry a seat in a quiet month. Tranche 2 obligations stay with the firm either way. This page does not say one product’s check is cheaper. Compare a year of seats, plus the months you will not clear the cap, with the matters you actually open.
